Some other locomotives at Bathgate in 1964

As well as my father, I also took some photographs. Unfortunately, there quality was not very good. I have, however, reproduced them below. My intention is to try and get better prints made, but the quality of the negatives is a limiting factor (I have since had the first one scanned, and worked on it with Adobe Photoshop).

An unknown J36 at Bathgate

This photo was taken by myself with a simple camera resulting in the poor quality. I do not know the identity of this class J36 locomotive (it was probably 65280 or 65281), except that it was facing the subsequently preserved class Y9, 68095,which is shown below. So if anyone out there can help, please drop me a line.

Class Y9, 68095, at Bathgate

This locomotive is class Y9, 68095, which has been subsequently preserved, though I am not aware of it ever having been steamed in that time (please let me know if I am wrong).
